OddShores™ is a cozy tropical social MMO in development by Bonemelt Studios.

The game takes place on a warm, strange and slightly impossible island inhabited by red pandas, curious visitors, recurring characters, community events, island gags, mysterious places and small memories that accumulate over time.

In OddShores, players do not arrive as chosen heroes or world-saving adventurers. They arrive as visitors.

One day, they reach the dock, receive their island passport, create their identity, meet other inhabitants and slowly discover that the island is much more than a pretty place to spend time in.

OddShores is inspired by the emotional feeling of classic social worlds: logging in, seeing who is online, talking with others, exploring rooms, joining events, collecting items, customizing your character and coming back another day because the world starts to feel familiar.

But OddShores is not trying to simply recreate the past.

The island is being built as its own living world: handmade, cozy, tropical, absurd, narrative-driven and community-oriented. A place where a casual conversation can become a running gag, an event can leave a mark on the community, and a character appearance can turn an ordinary day into something players remember later.

One of the main pillars of OddShores is its recurring cast.

Characters like Tall, Red, Velvet, Nara and other island inhabitants are not meant to be static NPCs standing in one place and repeating dialogue forever. They are designed as living presences within the world: characters with personalities, relationships, appearances, humor, contradictions and the ability to create social moments.

Tall might cause a creative accident.

Red might try to organize the disaster.

Velvet might turn something ridiculous into a matter of elegance.

Nara might discover that the island has more layers than it first appears.

And players can be there when it happens.

OddShores also has a layer of slow-burn mystery. Not everything will be explained from the beginning. The island will reveal parts of its history, places, characters and strange details gradually through events, logs, objects, conversations and small changes in the world.

The goal is not to overwhelm players with lore.

The goal is to make the island feel like it remembers.

A broken sign.

A failed invention.

A group photo.

An event reward.

A strange rumor.

A door that does not open yet.

A joke that becomes tradition.

All of that is part of OddShores.

The project is currently in an early Technical Alpha / Technical Demo stage, with work being done on the website, infrastructure, login system, Godot Web client, playercard, base avatar, accessories, rooms, UI, characters, community structure and future closed testing.

Our next major goal is to prepare a presentable Closed Alpha for a small first community of players, where people can explore the core experience, socialize, test early systems and help shape the island through real feedback.
