A Raider's Guide to Expeditions

Expeditions are ARC Raiders' prestige-style progression reset — a way to wipe your character back to square one, replay the climb, and walk away with permanent upgrades you carry into every future run (along with some temporary ones). Here's how they work.

What's an Expedition?

For anyone new to the concept: an Expedition fully resets your character so you can play through the progression again. In exchange for the reset, you earn some permanent rewards that stick with you for future runs, as well as some temporary rewards that stick with you as long as you continue completing Expeditions.

What Do You Get?

Completing an Expedition rewards you with two kinds of benefits.

Permanent Benefits (yours to keep, forever):

  • Extra stash space

  • Extra skill points

  • A new skin or variant

Temporary Benefits (active while you're on consecutive Expeditions):

  • XP boost

  • Scrappy materials boost

  • Repair value boost

Stop doing Expeditions back-to-back and the temporary benefits reset — but the permanent ones are locked in for good.

How Skill Points Are Earned

Skill Points are earned by dealing damage during the Expedition window — to ARC enemies, to other players, it all counts. The window is currently almost 2 weeks. The damage requirements are tiered so casual Raiders can still pick up a point or two, while grinders can push for the max:

  • 1st Skill Point: 5,000 damage

  • 2nd Skill Point: 10,000 damage

  • 3rd Skill Point: 30,000 damage

  • 4th Skill Point: 50,000 damage

  • 5th Skill Point: 100,000 damage

For reference, killing a Bastion is about 5,000 damage.

A couple of things worth knowing:

  • All damage counts individually. Solo, duo, or full squad, each player racks up their own total. Make sure everyone on your team gets hits in.

  • You don't need to extract. Unlike Trials, damage counts the moment it lands. Die with 99,000 damage done and it all still counts.

The Materials Requirement

Separate from the skill point damage, the Expedition itself still asks you to submit around 800k of materials at step 5 towards your Caravan (the ship you're building to depart on the Expedition in). So while you don't need to hoard loot to earn Skill Points anymore, you will still need to submit a lot of Stash value in the form of materials to actually finish the Expedition.

Catch-Up Skill Points

Missed some skill points on a past Expedition? You can still grab them — but it'll cost you.

Catch-up Skill Points cost 300,000 Stash value per point and can only be purchased after you've completed the current Expedition's base damage challenge. Earn this cycle's points first, then cash in for old ones.

Last Call

Completed the Expedition requirements but didn't log in during the window to click Depart? You're not locked out.

The Last Call feature lets you depart on your first login after the window ends. A few things to note:

  • You won't earn Skill Points from the missed window

  • You'll still receive the other Expedition benefits

  • Any missed Skill Points can be recovered later as catch-up points (300k each) on the next Expedition
