DGMC will stick around as long as Discord keeps their Game Servers feature. I doubt they’ll dump it, but you never know.
This will be a moderated, non-cracked Minecraft Christian community, unlike the original DGMC.
Unlike the original DGMC, this is a standard Paper server with plugins to keep it well-moderated. Details below.
Current Features
- Datapacks: Alternate world-gen with additional structures.
- Essentials: Adds commands like /tpa and /tpr.
- PvP & Arena: Proper PvP and duels. Start with /duel.
- Voice Chat: Lets players use the Voice Chat mod on our server.
- Bedrock Support: Lets players join DGMC from Bedrock (more info below).
- Trading: Shift-click a player or use /trade to trade items.
- CrossChat: Visit #┃🍎・minecraft and the Minecraft voice chat.
Bedrock Support
Running these plugins alongside Geyser is experimental. Some server features may not work on Bedrock and may even crash your game. That said, as long as it doesn’t crash the server, Bedrock support stays.
I'll work on a FAQ section in #📗┃minecraft for how to use some commands on Bedrock, since not all features (such as clickable text) are supported.
Planned Features
- Towny: Claim land and protect it from griefing (free, no economy planned for now).
- Economy: We'll look into implementing Icaria Unix through our API (you won't be able to earn Unix on DGMC).
- Lobby Server: We'll have a main lobby, which will help support more features.
- Community Suggestions: We’re fully open to suggestions for new features, as long as they keep the “vanilla” feel.
Plenty more is possible too: food plugins, NPCs, crates, game modes such as Skyblock (a lobby would help), and tons more. You’re welcome to suggest ideas, especially a lobby map... PLEASE.
For now, I’ve set up as much as I can before holidays. I’ll be back March 5th to keep building DGMC. If I get any planned features done before I leave, I’ll ping again with what’s finished.
