🏐 The Ultimate Haikyu!! Weekly Guide: From Historic Victories to Limited Events
WEDNESDAY, 14 OCTOBER 2026
The week of October 11th to October 17th shapes up to be one of the most action-packed and momentous stretches of the year for the Haikyu!! community. Whether you are tracking the canonical timeline of the anime, scraping for last-minute mobile game drops, or counting down to a fan-favourite birthday, everything you need to know about this key week is right here.
October 11–14 | The Gruelling Miyagi Prefectural Finals
In the canonical anime timeline, the week kicks off with the highest stakes imaginable. The mid-October window marks the exact multi-day stretch where the Miyagi Prefecture Qualifier Tournament reached its absolute peak.
Karasuno High, having fought their way through the brackets earlier in October, spent these days preparing for and fighting the legendary five-set war against the powerhouse Shiratorizawa Academy. This is the exact block of days where Tsukishima executed his iconic block against Ushijima, Hinata soared for the final match point, and the "flightless crows" officially earned their historic victory to secure a spot at the Tokyo Spring Nationals.
October 14 | Last Hours of the Fly High "Jazz Big Band" Lottery
For players of the mobile game Haikyu!! Fly High, Wednesday, October 14 marks a critical deadline. Today is the official final day of the limited-time "Jazz Big Band" lottery event.
The server clock is ticking down on your chance to secure the grand prize: the highly sought-after SP Tobio Kageyama (Jazz variant), complete with his specialised Attack Technique Boost. If you have been hoarding lottery tickets or saving up diamonds, make sure to log in and burn through your remaining tokens before the event pool completely resets tonight. (Note: The limited-time rerun banner for SP Akira Kunimi's "Sports Festival" variant will remain active past this date until October 21).
October 15 | The Calm Before the Storm (and Last-Minute Prep)
With the frantic rush of the Fly High lottery behind us, Thursday serves as the community's brief breather. Use this day to share your lucky event pulls on the feed, discuss your favourite moments from the Shiratorizawa match, and put the finishing touches on any fan art or tribute posts before the major celebration begins tomorrow.
October 16 | Happy Birthday, Kenma Kozume!
The absolute highlight of the week lands on Friday, October 16th—the official birthday of Nekoma High's irreplaceable "brain," Kenma Kozume!
Though Kenma would almost certainly celebrate by locking himself in a room with his gaming setup and a slice of apple pie, our community feed will be doing the exact opposite. We are opening up a dedicated birthday megathread on the 16th to celebrate his journey from a quiet, video-game-obsessed setter to the brilliant, wealthy CEO of Bouncing Ball Corp (Kodzuken). Be ready to drop your favourite clips, quotes, and birthday wishes!
October 17 | The Week's Wrap-Up & Looking Ahead 🔥
As the week comes to a close on Saturday, October 17th, the celebration wraps up. It's the perfect time to look back at a week that perfectly highlights the past, present, and future of the franchise—stretching from historic manga milestones all the way to modern gaming events.
💬 Did you successfully pull SP Kageyama from the Jazz lottery before the clock ran out? What are your plans for Kenma's birthday on Friday? Let us know in the comments below! 👇
