What is Pixelroyal and how did it start?

Pixelroyal began back in 2024 with just two people, Mike and Reno. What started as a small project between friends quickly turned into something much bigger. Not long after its creation, Pixelroyal joined forces with another pixel game called Canvasland, which was even older and had its own established player base. The merge helped both communities grow and brought together creative ideas, experienced players, and a shared passion for pixel games.

Like many long running projects, Pixelroyal faced its share of challenges. There were difficult periods, disagreements, and moments where the future of the game seemed uncertain. Despite that, the community pushed forward. At its peak, the game reached around 500 concurrent players and more than 1,500 members on Discord. It became one of the most active and talked about spaces in the pixel game community.

Eventually, internal conflicts between administration and ownership led to the game shutting down. For almost a year, Pixelroyal remained closed. During that time, many community members stayed connected and continued to hope for a return.

Now Pixelroyal is coming back stronger than ever. With a mix of returning original owners and new leadership, the project has been rebuilt with improved code, better organization, and a refreshed administrative team. The goal is simple: learn from the past, improve what needed fixing, and bring back the fun, competitive, and welcoming experience that made Pixelroyal special in the first place.

The community has been waiting, and the revival is not just about reopening a game. It is about rebuilding a home for pixel game fans who want something active, fair, and long lasting.
