I get asked this question a lot. I started my community after some petty high school drama where a small friend group kicked me out and trash talked me behind my back, so I made my own server to grow bigger than them in response. Sometimes I tell that story. But most of the time I say something sappy and wise-sounding, like "I never felt like I belonged anywhere, so I made my own place to belong," which technically isn't false, and sounds way cooler and less cringy LOL
